Privacy
Astrée is designed to work without knowing who you are. There is no account, no email address and no password.
What stays on your phone
Your date, time and place of birth are stored in the app and never leave it. Neither do your loved ones' charts, your draw history or your full birth chart. The astrological calculations (sign, decan, rising sign, Moon) are done on the device.
What the server receives
To serve you the right text, the server only receives values that have already been calculated:
- your sun sign, in other words one twelfth of the population;
- your language, your time zone and the time at which you want to be notified;
- a random device identifier, generated by the app, which does not identify you.
Your date of birth never leaves the device: twelve possible months of birth fold into the same sign, so it cannot be reconstructed.
Geocoding
When you enter a city of birth, its name is sent to your phone's geocoding service (Apple on iPhone, Google on Android) to get its coordinates. It does not go through our servers.
Analytics and crashes
We use Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics. The events sent go through a filter that removes any birth data, any identifier and any token before they leave.
Purchases
Subscriptions are handled by the App Store on iPhone and by Google Play on Android. We see neither your payment details nor your Apple or Google account: only a signed proof of purchase, which we verify.
Your rights
Since there is no account, uninstalling the app erases everything it knew about you. For any question, write to us:
